Changes in climate

"Our climate has been changing for thousands of years. Temperatures are slowly becoming warmer, causing ice caps to melt and more extreme weather conditions, such as hurricanes. This has a great effect on wildlife, too. It's not all doom and gloom! We just need to understand what's happening. If everyone turned off a light or television, it would save energy and we could cut down fewer trees. This causes less pollution and helps to slow down global warming."--Back cover.
