Analysis and design of airplane structures

In 1941 the author entered the aeronautical engineering teaching field after twelve years of industrial experience, most of which dealt with the structural design of all types and sizes of airplanes. During those twelve years, the author had the pleasure of “breaking in” many college graduates as beginners in the structures division of several leading airplane companies, Now the author is on the other side
of the fence and is helping students to prepare for work in the aeronautical design field.
