About This Book

Gerald Warre Cornish was a scholar from England's University of Manchester engaged as an officer in World War 1. In his spare time -- which means, while sitting in a trench between infantry charges -- he worked on a translation of the New Testament letters of Paul. He completed Ephesians, 1 Corinthians and part of 2 Corinthians before he died in action, and the mud-stained notebook was eventually published. I imagine it's how "The Message" would read if it were by Eric Liddell. I found it on the shelves of the general library at Univ. of California at Santa Barbara.
