About This Book
THE LATITUDE OF LOVE is original book title, when first published in 1971; republished in late 70's as ROUGH DIAMOND LOVER.
Story involves Laura Winters, a dietician in a London Nursing home, and Jake Andrews, General Manager of the Grantley's plant in Eddleston where Laura's father worked, and where Laura herself is employed, when she leaves London to follow her father to the most northern area of England, when he gets a promotion from Grantley's.
Laura's twin brother breaks into Jake's office to steal some confidential documents to sell to highest bidder, but is seen by night watchman who believes he saw Laura, so Jake fires her as a thief.
A near-death experience in some caves shows Jake he actually loves Laura and he realises she's innocent of the theft - despite the fact that Laura's twin brother has died before he could confess he was the one caught breaking into Jake's office.
Jake spends a lot of the book involved with the 'Other Woman', but 'true' love prevails in the end !!!
