Fundamentals of Carbon Capture and Storage Technology

The Petroleum Economist Ltd., with financial help from British Petroleum Oil (bp), provides 16 studies by various authors on CCS as a technology for energy production that may address climate-change mitigation in the future. The work lists 14 current projects for large CO₂ geological storage demonstration in 8 locations worldwide (Algeria, Australia, Canada, Europe, Germany, Norway, U.S., and Western Australia) where carbon capture and storage plants are currently under various stages of strategic planning and development. CCS is one of many innovative technologies in a global response to the global demand for clean energy.
