About This Book
Author Ianthe Bond Hebel wrote extensively in the family history genre throughout the mid 20th century. As historian for the Halifax Fl. Historical Society and Volusia County, Florida Historical Commission, she was adept in her research and writing. Most of her work was about other families. The typescript" Ancestry of Major Joseph Bryant" was about her family. Major Joseph was born in 1779 in Saco, Maine. He heralded from Pilgrim Stephen Bryant( 1615-1710 ) immigrant at Plymouth Colony. Hebel writes of the Bryant cousins and descendants through their migration to Ohio in 1837, and to Michigan in 1861.
