About This Book
"This work presents six stories about different types of victimization suffered by people from LGBT communities in the context of the armed conflict that has bled Colombia during the last seven decades; This is a temporarily limited exercise (1990-2010) and territorially located in the Caribbean region. The violations described give account of actions carried out both at the legal level (public force, representatives of the Public Ministry, government authorities) and at the illegal level (guerrillas, paramilitaries). It is not a research report itself, but not a literary work. It is a work that can be located in an intermediate line, and because of its testimonial nature, nuanced with a political / poetic language, it has an incalculable value from the point of view of the reconstruction of our historical memory, since it emphasizes the people who have assumed the task and the risk of constructing their sexuality and their ways of being and being in the world, taking distance from the precepts of the hetersexual norm, a vision that according to the National Center of Historical Memory, “dictates a dichotomous vision of the world which has only men and women (eliminating other configurations of gender identity), and linking "being a man" or "being a woman" with both genitality and strict models of masculinity and femininity. Iván Torres Aranguren, political scientist" --
