Pathways towards a shared future

The Conference provided a forum for decision makers from government and civil society to discuss the challenges and opportunities globalization poses to higher education and higher education institutions worldwide, in the common pursuit of identifying pathways towards a shared future of sustainable development and peace. In exploring the changing roles of higher education, the conference focused on themes such as research for innovation and social development, education for dialogue and peace, intercultural change, education for sustainable development and e-learning. Conference participants identified positive ways in which higher education and higher education institutions can contribute to the creation of sustainable and inclusive knowledge societies.
