Teyva vākkū

Village belle Hamsaveni is blessed with the divine power of prediction. The entire village treats her as a messenger of God and looks up to her as their savior. Hamsaveni's brother Vallatharai exploits the villagers' devotion to his sister for his personal enrichment. Hamsaveni proposes to marry Thambidurai, a social activist with a soft and helpful nature. Unhappy of the mismatch and fearing loss of wealth, Vallatharai objects and creates hurdles to the marriage.
