About This Book
The Joaquín Gandarillas Infante Foundation donated a valuable collection of works of art to the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile for its preservation and dissemination, so that it would become a cultural testimony at the service of the national and international community. The collection houses more than 600 pieces from the American colonial period, including paintings and religious carvings, silverware and furniture, a collection that has been exhibited at the University's premises in a series of exhibitions that is now complemented by the exhibition "Travesía de la fe: Arte y cristianización en el Surandino", en el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (this book also serves as the catalogue for that exhibition)
