Strömstad

The book spans nearly 300 years from the 1600s until World War II. Swedish and Norwegian troops have come and gone. Accommodations and indemnities have plagued poor citizens. Repeatedly, the border city has been devastated, looted and burned. Modog tells of war and discord, but also about the city's development from poor fishing village to today's flourishing trade and seaside resort.
