South Asian symposium 1992: A Reader in South Asian Studies, is the second volume of graduate students papers published by the Graduate Students' Union of the Centre for South Asian studies, University of Toronto.

This publication represents a diversity of interests in South Asian studies in terms of disciplines and issues. Various approaches were used within the disciplines of anthropology, economics, history literature, politics, religion. social work and sociology.
