Haaneed

This book is a collection of literary works that have been written by the well-known Somali poet Axmed Aw Geeddi, which have never been written down before. The book can be divided into three parts. In the first part, the life of the poet is discussed. In the second part, consisting of 8 chapters, the literary works of the poets are discussed. These works are poems which deal with the theme of struggle. In the third part, the author discusses what other well-known Somali literary figures had to say about the poet and his works, and his role in their own poetry. [ASC Leiden abstract].
