Gold country ambush

Nate Ragan is heading south to see what the California gold rush is all about. Stopping briefly at a backcountry store for supplies, his trip is interrupted. There he meets a lawman and his handcuffed young female prisoner, charged with theft and on her way to jail. After seeing how much of a bully the local sheriff is, Nate agrees to do the woman a favor. One thing leads to another and Nate ends up involved in a mess.
