The book studies the analytical writings of influential art historian Aby Moritz Warburg (b. Germany), who started what is known as the iconological tradition, highlighting his interpretative ideas from different historiography and artistic views, specially his manifest critical texts on the paradigms that resulted from the modern scientific knowledge of the early 20th century while stating the documental value of art.
