Military memoir of an extrordinary man who rose to command a Regt of Infantry for Napoleon and served in Egypt,Italy,Europe and Spain and has left a valuable record of military life and combat that has corrected mistakes made by a number of Historians and sheds new light on this period which although thousands of books etc are available much is still misinterpreted and misunderstood and much that is taken as fact is long overdue for revision.
My only regret is that my french is not sufficient and to my knowledge there is no English translation available.
