Dembi Senegaal

Pathe Sow tells us the story of Senegal from antiquity to the end of the nineteenth century. He retraces the events that took place centuries ago and endeavors to inform especially neoliterates about the social, economic, and political conditions in the various kingdoms (Jolof, Kajor, Waalo, etc.) that came to be part of Senegal. The author deals with all aspects of society such as settlement, the expansion of Islam, ethnic groups, etc.

Pathé Sowe a essayé de relater l'histoire du Sénégal de l'antiquité à la fin du siècle dix-neuvième. Il retrace les événements qui ont eu lieu il y a des dizaines de siècles et tente d'éclairer et d'informer surtout ceux qui sont en train d'être alphabètisés, sur les conditions sociales, économiques et politiques qui prévalaient dans les différents royaumes (Jolof, Kajoor, Waalo) que constituait le Sénégal.

L'auteur touche tous les aspects liés à la société tels que la colonisation, l'expansion de l'Islam, les ethnies, etc.
