From fruit trees to furnaces

Whilst this is an excellent history book about the formation of the Worcestershire Police Force, it is also an easy read for someone looking for an interesting subject. The book is well written and is essentially a local history book. Someone researching the English police force or law enforcement in the UK would do well to start here. The book is no longer in print, but I understand the publishers may have a few left.
