In 2019, artist and filmaker Joshua Merchan Rodríguez (Colombia 1996) lived and studied in MX City via ENPEG (Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado "La Esmeralda") Art Program. During six months he engaged with the local art scene and collaborated with artists. TOPO Collective was founded by eight artists from different places around the world. For a month they organized and curated a collective exhibition in an empty building in Colonia Polanco, where they invited around thirty artists, mainly from the Mexican art scene. CTP Compañía de Trueque Polimérico, is an attempt at concrete value creation based on the barter system. The company proposes to barter synthesized fossils from humanoid industries for any kind of interchangeable goods. These synthesized fossils (3000 a.c.) have been found thanks to the labor of a high qualified team of researchers from CTP while studying the coastline of Gulf of Mexico.
