About This Book
This excellent and entertaining little book is a guide to the facilities available at every 'aire' on the French autoroute system, as they were when this book was published in 1995. It's invaluable for route planning, and although some of the entries need updating (eg some restaurants have been taken over by different chains, new sections opened etc), it's still a very good guide to what you can expect to find at each 'aire', including huge sculptures, Roman temples, and giant mushrooms inhabited by eves....and no, I haven't been overdoing the Vin Plonk!
Note to publisher: if you want to commission someone to do an update, I'm available.
