Becky's horse

All Becky Golden has ever wanted was a horse of her own, but living in the city in the middle of the Depression, her dream seems impossible. Slowly she begins to learn that everyone in her family has dreams--some of them even more impossible than hers. When Becky wins a horse in a contest, it seems that her dream has finally come true...but war has broken out in Europe, and in Austria a little boy Becky has never met needs a family.
