Alicia moves to Montana to live with Aunt Edna on her ranch after her parents perish in a car accident/ She meets Sydney, Edna's Australian ranch hand. They strike up a friendship that blossoms into more. While the two are in Chicago selling Alicia's family home, Sydney's past poses an imminent threat to the budding relationship.
