She writes about the inspiring life of Eva Tiele Winckler (1866-1930), who founded the order. Sister Eva was born into a wealthy aristocratic family living in what is now a suburb of Katowice in Poland, which was then a part of Germany. Her work was mainly in caring for mentally and physically handicapped children.
