About This Book
Theresa Molter returns to the zine world with Peko Peko after having made many of them in high school and college. This zine details her experience as a teacher in Japan at NOVA and her “only in Japan” feelings when she describes pop culture, bands trains, aging and youth, foods and different cities such as Osaka and Hiroshima. She references bands such as Tsuji Ayano, Shaka L(R)abbits, Utsumi Yoko and the Yoko Loko Band, and Love Psychedelico. Her zine also includes haiku from her students, photographs, cut and paste, and her memories of living in America, being a lesbian, and her teen and college years. One entry is reprinted from her LiveJournal blog.
