The twelfth juror

After a brutal rape, New York attorney Megan Cleary buys a handgun for protection and, when she is attacked again, uses that gun to shoot and kill her attacker, fleeing the scent before the police arrive. Although she's not caught, her comfortable life begins to unravel under the weight of her fear and guilt and she returns to her parents' home in Buffalo to start over.
