Written at the beginning of the 20th Century, this book details the finer points of worsted wool yarn/thread manufacturing. It contains a chapter with a short history of spinning and the tools used. It also has detailed descriptions of classes of worsted from fine cashmere threads to worsted longwool for carpets, as well as the manufacturing process from combing to spinning and finishing.
