The leaving morning

Leaving a place can be long when, days before, you've already said good-bye to everyone you know--your friends, the grocer, your cousins, "especially your cousins." Then finally the day comes, and leaving is hard. Words and pictures catch exactly the mixture of excitement and wistfulness that "good-bye" can mean for young children.
