The Greatest Adventure

Using their log book, journals and photographs taken on board, Piccard and Jones have brought their marathon flight vividly to life, capturing many moments of high tension and emotion. Their account tells of an epic adventure but shows also how two very differne tcharacters forged a unique relationship in the most challenging circumstances of their life.

This text tells the tale of how the balloon was developed and the problems the balloonists faced on the way round. The authors explain what life was like in a tiny gondola flying an average height of 32,000 feet and how the difficulties they faced were overcome.
