The National Historical Museum (MHN) has many and varied collections. However the percentage of objects on display is small and many artistic and historic are not known by the public. This book is part of a 12-volume series that aims to present various topics through research and documentation work of 30 selected objects from different collections and materials. This volume is an illustrated catalogue of objects related to the sacred: paintings, sculptures, textiles, decorative arts, medals and prints reflecting the religious expression of the colonial Chile.
