The Bible and Literature

Divided into two major sections, this text explores, in the first half, the various uses of texts in the Bible and in contemporary literature (including a number of multicultural choices). In the second half, the authors demonstrate the interplay of important themes in both, including spiritual quests, divine love, war, and family. Each chapter includes discussion questions, suggested readings, and sidebars to create an interplay between the text and interesting ancillary material.
