Readers can find in this book multiple women in a variety of religious traditions and beginning sources, primary and secondary, for further research. But this handbook offers more than that. It includes women who until recently have been lost to memory even within their own communities and makes it impossible to ignore the prodigious extent to which women participated creatively in their traditions.
