County and city data book, 1972

The study contains selected electoral, demographic, and economic data for counties, cities, and incorporated areas of 25,000 inhabitants or more, urbanized areas, and SMSAs in the entire United States. The bulk of the data in this dataset was originally collected as the result of the 1970 Censuses of Population and Housing and includes information such as education, occupation, and income, which were obtained from sample responses of individuals enumerated in 1970. These data were obtained in machine-readable form from the Census Bureau.
