Touched by fire

When the rapes and massacres, the plagues, the famines, the floods, or the droughts erupt in far-off places, the world stands still. MSF does not. It can place its emergency medical teams and equipment anywhere in the world within twenty-four hours. The risks they take are moral and ethical as well as mortal. They are acutely aware that giving aid is controversial. Elliot Leyton saw in the work of MSF an opportunity to report on people who are selfless, dedicated, and absolutely unlike the murderers who have been his usual subjects.
