Letters from the Front

The 2 volumes in this work provide a detailed historical record of the services provided to the war effort in the Great War by employees of all branches of the Canadian Bank of Commerce. Volume 1 contains letters from various Canadian Bank of Commerce staff members while they served with the allied forces engaged in the war, and a list of all 1701 staff members who enlisted to fight, including the 258 who gave their lives. Volume 2 was created to augment the previous volume by providing more detailed biographical information of the staff members whose names, ranks, dates of enlistment, and branches were listed in that first volume.
