The ark of the Marindor

Katherine Dennison lives on The Marindor, a beautiful old sailboat that has been her refuge since the death of her son and the end of her marriage three years ago. A master mariner, she would rather navigate the sea than her emotions or her troubling past. But removing herself from the world only draws it closer. Approached by a mysterious foreigner, Katherine agrees to retrieve the cargo of a downed airplane only to discover that she is a hostage on her own boat.

Matched against an adversary as clever as she, Katherine is forced to negotiate an increasingly thin area of geography and culpability. The Ark of the Marindor is a morally complex and dramatic nautical adventure, with an ending that roars, like the wind during Katherine's final race for shore.
