"This is an account in letters of a man's pursuit of immortality - by a Canadian using a nom de plume (Gilmour Walker) - and based on the Epic of Gilgamesh. The author follows the journeys of Gilgamesh, but in a modern context, visiting such places as Las Vegas and Death Valley. The letters are written to Gilgamesh's muse, Ninsun. Part of the humour of the memoir is the fact that the memoir is footnoted by an unknown editor, who dislikes the book he is editing."--
