Solomon Islands, 1942: On Guadalcanal the Americans are fighting the bloodiest battle of the Pacific campaign. Behind the Japanese lines, a handful of British and Australian coastwatchers, aided by loyal Solomon Islanders, strive desperately to avoid capture and certain death, yet at the same time endeavor to keep the Americans informed of enemy movements.
