Nothing but Clouds

'Nothing but Clouds' were the words used by the research commission in Andrey Tarkovsky's 1986 film 'Solaris' to deny video evidenced traces of alien life on the planet. Taking this disclaimer as the title, this meditative book by Kristina Jurotschkin brings together images, made in various places in Europe over numerous years, from her photographic archive. The result is a possible archive of the future of our present, or an archaeological survey anticipated for the future. Examining the construction of our social reality, Jurotschkin presents alienating views of everyday spaces.
