Tierra Santa

Studies writings by Mexican modernist poet and politician on subject of his four visits to Holy Land (later Israel) between 1920s and 1970s. Organized into sections by visit (1926, 1927, 1929 and 1966), presents text of postcards, essays, poems and other sources that illustrate ways in which he was moved and inspired by his travels. Includes ample (pp. 1-81) critical introduction as well as photos of Pellicer's trips and some manuscript facsimiles.
