About This Book

This book identifies documented mineral sites in the State of Washington. The presentation is county-by-county. Within the text of any one county, sites are tabulated by their locale. Site name, the site's known minerals, the origin of the site's minerals as best known, site location and references to maps, and supporting literature are identified for each site. Indexing is extensive. Two kinds of maps are provided. Base maps are county maps, annotated to show site locations. Township maps represent those portions of base maps within which site density is too high to permit clear annotation on the base map.
