Front Porch Prayer Volume 2

We all harbor an image of the quintessential front porch, that inviting and relaxing gathering place where anybody and everybody is welcome. A place to sit and enjoy a tall glass of sweet iced tea and friendly laughter. A place of heartfelt reflection and intimate conversation. Front Porch Prayer explores the idea of experiencing such a place in our conversations with God by learning how to incorporate His own words into our prayer life. Sometimes when we pray, we do not know what we should ask or say; we either run out of words or don’t even know how to begin. This study teaches how scripture can provide us with those words and how we can use it to guide and revitalize our prayers. Praying scripture opens our eyes not only to who God is and what He has said, but also to the wondrous plans He has for us. As we pray God’s word, our hearts connect more intimately with Him, giving us new insights into how God wants to transform us and even those around us.
