Mundo Cuy

The vast and complex production of caricature artist Juan Acevedo (b. Lima 1949) spans more than four decades and reflect how the artists has "stuck his nose" wherever he has wanted with the understanding that nothing is definitive in this visual genre which in addition to artistic, is popular, is pop, as has always been and will always be. The cartoon strip "Cuy" (Guinea pig) since its birth has been linear, simple, naked (literally) and in its simplicity, has created a personage, full, multidimensional, symbolic and at the same time, from our daily lives as pedestrians.
