Alejandro Alayza

A retrospective exhibition of Alejandro Alayza (b. Lima 1946), one of the greatest exponents of figurative painting in Peru. The exhibition gathers work from his first drawings and cartoons to large-format oils. This vast work, loaded with spirituality and an acid humor, is characterized by a great handling of light and color through landscapes, still lifes and the representation of characters in allegorical situations or everyday scenes that reveal the particular look of the artist in the social environment.
