In Hingene, in the countryside between Antwerp, Brussels and Ghent, stands the Chateau d'Ursel. For nearly four centuries it was the favorite summer residence of the noble family d'Ursel, a family of bankers and traders who rose to become one of the most important families of the Netherlands.
