When Helen Jones suddenly faints at her son's wedding reception, everyone thinks it's just another of Helen's ploys to get the attention she craves. A few hours later, Helen is pronounced dead.
Alexandra Grant, a feature writer for the local small town Vermont newspaper, is assigned to investigate the possibility that Helen Jones' death was not from natural causes. As Alexandra investigates, she quickly becomes enmeshed in a web of grand theft, lies, drugs, and murder.l Her biggest problem. however is that she finds herself falling in love with the chief suspect.
