Crossing the plains in 1852

This is a great collection of letters written by a woman from England who crossed the plains to California in 1852. She met her husband in Iowa and traveled all the way across westward by wagon at age 25. Her letters to her sister, who came to America with her, make up the book and give an interesting picture of how difficult the trip was. Great reading!
