This is a history of the town of Smicksburg, Indiana County, PA and the surrounding area from pre-history to about 1990. The book documents the development and growth of the area as a farming and minor commercial center as well as its mid-20th century decline and subsequent late 20th century renewal thanks to tourism and Amish settlement.
The author is founder and president of the Smicksburg Area Heritage Society an is also the author of 550 Stitelers, The Condron Family, The Descendants of Samuel Wood, and The Spences of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
