Angel to the Papagos

It is the story of Goldie Richmond, a remarkable woman, who moved to the Papago reservation with her husband in1927 and never left. They earned thier living as trappers, miners and proprietors of a "cracker barrel" trading post on the reservation. This is the story of the Papago Indians and the brave and valorous woman who truly became thier "angel." Helping to replace superstition with hygienic practices, helping to replace fear with understanding, Goldie's devotion to the tribe and her pioneer spirit links their lives in a warm and lasting friendship.
