Familias, iglesias y estado laico

Studies of current state of family in Mexico in context of recent legalization of same-sex marriage and religious opposition it generated. Authors consider three core issues: contemporary familiy forms from anthropological perspective; role of church in shaping attitudes toward gender, sexual diversity, abortion and body regulation; and implications of this debate for continued laity of Mexican state.
