Strakhovanie v musulʹmanskom prave

The first Russian monograph devoted to the activities of insurance companies adhering to the tenets of Islamic law, the "Sharia." The first part of the work touches on the sources of Sharia in the modern world, the basic principles of Islamic economics, early forms of insurance based on the institutions of "zakiad" and "diia" [transliterated from the Russian]. The second part of the book analyzes standards regulating the operations of Islamic insurance companies and the reasons why "takaful" business has developed in Muslim and non-Muslim states. The appendix provides a glossary of Islamic legal terms used in the book.
